Fourth Annual PINK OUT February 4th

The history behind the Pink Out…..

Three years ago, Grace Mercer, a senior at Annapolis Area Christian School, started the Pink Out.  Her mother was a breast cancer survivor and Grace was greatly impacted by her mother’s battle with the disease.  Grace wanted to do something to help raise awareness and funding for this disease and thus the first Pink Out game was played in January of 2009.  In three years the event has raised over $22,000 for breast cancer research.  This year, AACS has partnered with Glenelg Country School and St. John’s Catholic Prep in efforts to raise an additional $10,000 for breast cancer research.  All the proceeds from this event will go directly to the JoAnn DeCesaris Cancer Institute in Annapolis.

There are four ways to support the cause.

 1.      Attend the games on the February 4th.  Admission from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm is $3 for adults and $1 for students.  Admission from 4:00-10:00 pm is $5 for adults and $2 for students.  All games will be played at AACS Upper School Campus located at 109 Burns Crossing Road, Severn, MD 21144.
