Hoops for Hunger

Hoops for Hunger Basketball Tournament

Key's Girls' Varsity Basketball is teaming up with the girls' team at Indian Creek to sponsor the Hoops for Hunger Basketball Tournament, a food drive benefiting Food Link of Annapolis.

This student-driven initiative will start with a pep rally on Friday, January 27 from 3:30-5:00 p.m. in the Activity Building. Upper and Middle School basketball teams will participate in a game of knock-out, followed by a Middle School boys' and girls' A team coed game, which will be coached by the boys' and girls' varsity teams.

On Saturday, January 28 a series of four basketball games will be played at Indian Creek Upper School:

Girls' Junior Varsity at 3:00 p.m.
Boys' Junior Varsity at 4:30 p.m.
Girls' Varsity at 6:00 p.m.
Boys' Varsity at 7:30 p.m.

Admission to Saturday's game will be $2 or the donation of two cans of food (or a monetary donation).

Food Link of Annapolis is especially in need of the following items: peanut butter and jelly; macaroni and cheese; chunky soup; canned tuna and chicken; canned fruits; baby wipes; diapers (sizes 4,5 & 6); and baby wash. In addition, the students are collecting canned goods throughout January.
