FINKSBURG, Md. — Bryn Mawr soccer senior Riley Barger assisted on the first and notched the eventual game-winning goal in the 34th minute to lead the Mawrtians to their third straight IAAM "B" Conference Soccer Championship, 2-1 over Severn at Paterakis Stadium on the campus of the Gerstell Academy, Sunday afternoon.

Barger found junior Ellie DeGarmo 10 minutes in on a lob pass inside the 6, when DeGarmo skied a shot over the head of Severn sophomore goalie Emily Gibbons.

In a tale of two halves, Bryn Mawr (14-5, 9-0 IAAM "B") outshot the Admirals 7-1 and took a 2-0 lead into the intermission.

Severn (15-5, 8-1 IAAM "B") went 50 minutes without a shot, before returning the favor outshooting the Mawrtians 6-1 in the final 20 minutes.

In the 58th minute, Severn junior Delia Repasky hit the underside of the crossbar off a 30-yard free kick clearing a six-man wall.

The ball was punched away by Mawrtian sophomore goalkeeper Zoe Derrickson before fully crossing the goal line.  Opportunistic Admiral senior Abbey Ritter capitalized on the miscue, pulling her team within a goal.

The Admirals would have several more scoring opportunities, but Derrickson's only two saves of the game in the final 10 minutes preserved the victory.

Gibbons faced nine shots making four saves, all in the first half.
